In the "My Documents" section you can upload PDF textbooks and study materials. The AI automatically processes them into a structured knowledge base from which exam questions are generated.

4.1 Uploading a Document

  1. 1Navigate to "Documents" in the sidebar.
  2. 2Click on the upload area or drag and drop a PDF file into it.
  3. 3Select a PDF file (max. 50 MB).
  4. 4The file is uploaded and processed. This may take a few minutes.
  5. 5The status changes from "Processing" to "Ready" once AI processing is complete.

Free accounts can upload up to 2 documents. Pro accounts have unlimited uploads.

4.2 Document Status

ProcessingThe document is currently being processed by the AI.
ReadyThe document is fully processed and ready for question generation.

In Practice Mode, AI-generated questions are presented from your uploaded documents. Each answer is verified directly against the original document, so you always know where the answer comes from.

5.1 Starting a Practice Session

  1. 1Navigate to "Practice" in the sidebar.
  2. 2Select a completed document from the list.
  3. 3The AI automatically generates exam questions.
  4. 4Answer each question and receive instant feedback.
  5. 5Click "Next Question" or "Shuffle Questions" to continue.

5.2 Question Types

Multiple Choice

Fill in the Blank

Open Question

Write a free-form answer in your own words. The AI evaluates the content of your answer.

5.3 Feedback & Sources

After each answer you see: • Whether your answer was correct or incorrect • An explanation of the correct answer • The exact text passage from your document (page and section) Click "Show Source" to view the original text.

Free accounts are limited to 20 questions per day. Pro accounts have unlimited questions.

5.4 Workspace, Difficulty & Language

Practice Mode is document-scoped: first you pick a document, then its own workspace opens. There you can set the question count and difficulty level (Easy / Medium / Hard), start a new session, or replay a past session. The AI automatically detects the language of your document and generates the questions in that same language. Upload a German PDF and you get German questions — no manual setting required.

  • Difficulty controls question depth (recall → application → analysis).
  • Generation runs in the background — you can navigate away.
  • "Past Sessions" shows your previous sessions for this exact document only.

6Exam Mode

Exam Mode simulates real exam conditions: timed tests with up to 30 questions, multiple question types, and a full result review after submission. Unlike Practice Mode, feedback is shown only after submitting all answers.

6.1 Creating an Exam

  1. 1Navigate to "Exam Mode" in the sidebar.
  2. 2Click "New Exam".
  3. 3Select a ready document from the list.
  4. 4Configure the title, question count (5–30), time limit (15–120 minutes), difficulty, and question type (Multiple Choice / Free Text / Mixed).
  5. 5Click "Generate & Start Exam". Generation takes 20–60 seconds.
  6. 6The exam starts automatically once questions are ready.

6.2 Taking the Exam

  • The countdown timer runs in the top bar.
  • Navigate with Previous/Next buttons or click a question number.
  • Multiple Choice: click an answer option.
  • Free Text / Open questions: type your answer in the text field.
  • The progress indicator shows how many questions you have answered.
  • Click "Submit Exam". A warning lists any unanswered question numbers before you confirm.

If the time expires, the exam is automatically submitted — even if not all questions have been answered.

6.3 Reviewing Your Results

Multiple Choice

Correct options are highlighted green, incorrect options red. You can see exactly which answer was right.

Fill-in-the-Blank

Your answer is compared to the model answer and marked correct or incorrect.

Open Questions

Your answer and the model answer are shown side by side. These are marked "Self Review" — you evaluate yourself against the model answer.

If your exam contains open questions, the overall score is calculated only from multiple choice and fill-in questions. Open questions require self-evaluation.

7.1 Generating a Flashcard Set

11FAQ & Troubleshooting

How long does document processing take?

Processing typically takes 1–5 minutes depending on document size and page count. Very large PDFs (>100 pages) may take longer.

My questions are not being generated. What should I do?

Make sure the document status shows "Ready" (green). If it shows "Processing", wait a bit longer. If it shows "Failed", try uploading the document again.

I forgot my password.

Click "Forgot password?" on the sign-in page. You will receive an email with a password reset link.

How can I delete my account?

Go to Profile → "Delete My Account". This action is irreversible and deletes all your data.

Are my documents stored permanently?

Original PDFs are deleted after processing. Only the structured knowledge index remains. We are GDPR-compliant.

What is the difference between Practice Mode and Exam Mode?

In Practice Mode you get instant feedback after each question and there is no time limit. In Exam Mode a timer runs and you see all results only after submission — just like a real exam.

Can I retake a completed exam?

You can review the results of any completed exam at any time. To practice the questions again, simply create a new exam from the same document.

How are open questions in exams graded?

Open questions are self-evaluated: the model answer is shown after submission. Compare your answer to the model answer and judge it yourself.

In which language are questions generated?

The AI automatically detects the language of your document and generates questions in that same language. Upload a German PDF and you get German questions — no manual setting required.
